Thank you so much for reading my post! I mostly meant that in the sense that as a teen I found solace in the ways he expressed his emotions so openly in a way I couldn't yet. There is, of course, much more nuance to him than I can ever do justice. The reason I wrote this is because I'm doing a project where I write about albums I love and why I love them, so this post is more about me than it is a critique of Elliott Smith!
